Description
Our November Training Day, run in the North of England on November 6th and in London on November 19th, is a must-attend for all fixed charge receivership professionals wanting to maintain their CPD and keep bang up to date with industry changes and solutions. 100% of delegates surveyed last year said they’d recommend the event to an associate and 95% said they’d be attending this year.
The event runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm with breaks for coffee and networking and a delicious lunch included in the price.
The day consist of a series of highly relevant talks delivered by experts in the field, followed by a subsequent Q&A.
Don’t miss your chance to book your space and ensure that your CPD hours satisfy your RPB requirements.
Why Attend?
Some of the topics covered this year:
Matt Bruce of Bruce & Butler will be providing training on Data Subject Access Requests – can they really ask for all that?
Members have reported what appear to be increasing numbers of unreasonable and vexatious requests: just how far do you have to go in responding?
Mark Routley and Kate Hillman from TLT Solicitors will be providing training on Leasehold reform – a minefield of change.
They will be looking at:
- Renters’ Rights bill – where are we and what are the effects on securing possession for sale
- Commonhold and the leaseholders right to manage
- Service charges – what now are the restrictions on recoverability.
Shannah Lomax and Amy Jones of Griffiths & Armour (an Aon company) who are specialists in PI Insurance will give us insight into the most common claims made and how best to avoid them!
Stephanie Tozer KC – Falcon Chambers. Dispute Resolution: what happens in practice if a claim that you sold the property at an undervalue is made?”
This session will discuss claims, and how these are handled with a solicitor, a mediator and counsel giving a complete over overview of the different ways in which these claims can be resolved.
Harriet Swainson from Gunnercooke and Russell Miller from Vail Williams will walk us through the constantly changing AML requirements which resulted in a revised Nara Guidance Note. This Guidance will be released and on the website following the Training Days.
Doug Robertson from Irwin Mitchell will open the lid on High Street rental auctions (HRAs) which came into effect from December 2024
“Superior landlords and mortgagees, who may be surprised to learn that leases granted under the new scheme are deemed to be granted with the express consent of any superior landlord or mortgagee.”
Q: Is there any protections for Receivers or are they subject (as agent to borrower) to any potential action taken by the local authorities?
Julian Healey CEO Nara will give a full update on the changes to the RPR Scheme and how the monitoring will continue for 2026.
